A Hospitality Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors at hotels, resorts, restaurants, and event venues. The guard monitors the premises, patrols assigned areas, and ensures that all safety and security procedures are followed. Key Responsibilities Monitor hotel or hospitality property to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and visitors. Patrol entrances, hallways, parking areas, and other designated locations. Control access to restricted areas and verify identification when required. Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner. Assist guests with directions or basic safety concerns when needed. Report suspicious activities or security issues to management. Write clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports. Work closely with hotel management and local authorities when necessary. Work Environment Hospitality security guards may work day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays. The role requires standing, walking patrols, and interacting professionally with guests and staff to maintain a secure and positive environment.

Requirements:

Minimum age of 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Valid security guard license if required by state or local regulations. Strong observation, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Work conditions:

Hospitality security guards may work flexible or rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The job requires standing and walking for extended periods while patrolling hotel or event areas. Guards work in both indoor and outdoor environments and must remain alert to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property at all times.

Responsibilities:
